This is a news video of a man who was misdiagnosed as being in a vegetative state at the age of 12 and was forced to spend the next 10 years in a "ghostly" state.
It is difficult to objectively determine whether a person is conscious or not, and some people are misdiagnosed as being in a vegetative state like this.
